The location for the 2019 Spring Conference has been secured and the training schedule has been set.


This Spring Conference we will also be holding elections for all FMAA officer positions. Please  note that room rates are subject to lodging tax, city and state  surcharges, as well as a 3.5% resort fee.  Rates reflect occupancy by up  to 2 people.  There is a $10.00  per person charge for each additional person.  Check-in begins at 4:00  pm and you may check out any time before 11:00 am.

Deposits are the sum of one night’s lodging plus taxes and are due  at the time the reservation is made.

HB376 Pyrotechnician Operator License Bill Passed

 HB376 Bill has passed effective June 1st but will not start until January 1st 2019. The bill authorizes the State Fire Marshal to regulate and issue pyrotechnic display operator licenses and pyrotechnic special effects operator licenses to persons who provide fireworks displays, pyrotechnics, and related special effects for an audience; to provide for the qualifications of applicants for licensure, license renewal, and licensure by reciprocity; to provide for the licensure of certain persons who have previously been certified as lead technicians by the State Fire Marshal
